Continuing Education for NC Real Estate Brokers & Teachers; NC Real Estate Exam Prep;
Simply:
Not every broker is a Realtor. Realtors pay dues to the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and a state and local chapter.
Realtors must complete at least 2.5 hours of Code of Ethics training every three years, with the most current deadline of December 31, 2024. So if you take a Code of Ethics course in 2022, 2023 or in 2024, you will complete your NAR requirement.
But remember, the ethics course is a requirement only for Realtors. Not every real estate licensee is a Realtor. If you are not a member of the National Association of Realtors, your only requirement is the appropriate Update course and any approved elective course.
Each individual Realtor association decides whether to accept a particular course for its requirement. My course has already been approved by several NC Association of Realtors. Call your Association if you have concerns about this course counting toward your membership requirements.
If you take my on-demand course, For Your Own Good: The Realtor Code of Ethics, you will get four hours of NC elective credit and you can use the course to take care of your NAR ethics training requirement, too!
Call your location Association of Realtors for clarification if you have question about the Realtor code of ethics training course.
For Your Own Good: The Realtor Code of Ethics is an on-demand course .
