New Zoom courses! New on-demand electives! State Exam Prep!
New Zoom courses! New on-demand electives! State Exam Prep!
We will be holding our CE class using Zoom for the foreseeable future. Zoom is free to the participants.
One week before the meeting, I will send you an email invitation with a link. When you click on the link, it will take you to a page that should automatically download the software you need. It’s likely that you will not have hit “open” or “launch” to get the program to run, but you may need to.
I will send you the link again the day before the meeting. The “classroom” will be open about 30 minutes before class starts. That will give you time to check your audio and video settings and generally get settled.
I also need to be able to see you which means you need a webcamera (webcam) that is already built into your device or that you can attach.
Here is a 1-minute video about joining a Zoom class: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=29&v=hIkCmbvAHQQ&feature=emb_logo
In order to use Zoom, you must have a laptop or desktop computer or a tablet. In order to get credit for the class, you will need to be on screen the entire class. Of course, we will take breaks. And it's BYOB!
If for any reason you cannot make your technology work, I will give you a full refund.
I think this will be an extraordinary opportunity for us to learn, engage and be social in these extraordinary times.
Looking forward to it!
On March 19th, 2020, the NCREC gave school and instructors permission to offer ALL NC real estate continuing education using synchronous technology. What this means is that I will e at home in front of my computer screen and my students will be at home using their laptops, tablets, or phones, to join me.
This is the perfect solution to obtaining your CE credits through June 10 during this crisis. I have provided classes using this technology before.
On June 3rd, the NCREC announced that we may offer Zoom classes for continuing ed courses through FOREVER.
When you register for a class, I will send you a link to a Zoom meeting especially for our class. You will have to be in attendance, participating by raising your hand, speaking, or looking awake for four hours. I prefer that you are dressed from the neck up, at least.
Zoom technology is very easy, but you might want to watch this short video on how to join a meeting.
For those of you who need your Update (either the GENUP or BICUP) and do not want to participate in this type of class, You can get an automatic extension from the NCREC through Sept. 2020 and still maintain active status. But you will need to make up the classes you miss by Sept. 30. Call the NCREC for specific information about your situation.
I will be offering the electives I usually do in person via this method as well.
I'll be updating this website frequently. Stay tuned.
